VALORIA

The game

Valoria is a strategy game in your browser – nothing to download, nothing to install. You start with one small village and build a kingdom from it: fields, buildings, an army, new villages and an alliance with other players. Every world runs one round from start to finish, and at the end there is a winner.

Worlds and rounds

Every world runs at its own speed: x1, x3, x5 or x10 (and x20 for experiments). The speed makes production, building, training and movement faster.

The length of a round follows the speed: 195 days at x1, 75 at x3, 51 at x5, 33 at x10 and 24 at x20.

The map is large – 401 by 401 tiles – and has no edges: leave on one side and you come back on the other.

Seven tribes to choose from, each with its own way to play. And an eighth – the Valorians themselves – belongs to the game: they guard the relics and the crown villages.

How a round works

  1. 1

    Opening

Everyone starts at the same moment, with one village (the capital) and beginners' protection: during it nobody can attack you. Protection is longer in a slow world (72 hours at x1) and shorter in a fast one (12 hours at x20). Attack, raid or scout another player, and your protection ends at once.

  2. 2

    Expansion

Collect culture points, train 3 settlers and found a second village, then more. Your hero annexes oases that add production, your army raids and defends, and players join together in alliances.

  3. 3

    Relics

When 40% of the round has passed, the relics appear. Four alliance relics – a Valorian village in each quarter of the map – and 16 personal relics near the centre. A relic is taken in an attack with the hero in it. A relic goes into a treasury and works only with a museum: for the village, the whole account or the whole alliance – by the museum's level. Every relic has bonuses that are drawn again every day.

  4. 4

    Crown villages

At 60% of the round, 7 Valorian crown villages appear, with a strong garrison. They are conquered with chiefs – a job for a whole alliance.

  5. 5

    The crown building

Whoever holds a crown village builds the crown building in it, in 4 stages. Each stage costs millions of resources and hours of building, so the whole alliance sends resources to one village. From 80% of the round, the Valorians' own crown in the centre of the map starts building itself too – and it finishes exactly at the end of the round.

  6. 6

    The winner

Whoever completes the last stage and holds the village for 24 hours – they and their alliance win, and the round is over. If nobody manages it by the end – the Valorians win, and the round closes without a winner. The winners and the greatest attackers, defenders and raiders enter the Hall of Fame.
