Beginner's guide
Ten first steps, from the first minute to a second village and an alliance. In a fast world everything happens faster – but the order is the same.
-
1
Choose a world and a tribe
In "Servers", choose a world by its pace: x1 – for patient players, x3 and x5 – in between, x10 – fast. The Gauls or the Romans suit beginners especially well. Starting area: near your friends, or "random".
-
2
Build all the time
An empty build queue is the most expensive time in the game. At first – every resource field to level 1, then to levels 2 and 3. Upgrade the cheapest field first.
-
3
Do the quests
Every quest gives resources or gold. They also teach the game, step by step.
-
4
Warehouse and granary
When resources near the limit – upgrade the warehouse and granary. What does not fit is lost.
-
5
Send the hero on adventures
The hero comes back with resources, items and experience. Put the first points into resource production.
-
6
Main building
A higher main building shortens every construction in the village. Level 5 opens important buildings, and level 10 – more.
-
7
A first army and a cranny
A barracks, a few cheap units to defend and raid, and a cranny to protect your resources. Before beginners' protection ends – have something in the village.
-
8
Annex an oasis
A level 5 hero's mansion, then a raid with the hero on a nearby oasis: all the animals die and the hero survives – the oasis is yours, adding 25% or 50% to its resource.
-
9
A second village
You need culture points (celebrations in the town hall help), a level 10 residence or palace, and 3 settlers. Choose a spot nearby, with good oases.
-
10
Join an alliance
An embassy at level 1 is enough to join, at level 3 – to found one. A player alone is a target; an active alliance is the best defence, and the only way to the crown.
